We are pleased to announce that there is now a new gorilla group open for trekking in the Kisoro / ‘Clouds Lodge’ area.

The group is called ‘Mishaya’ and it currently has 9 members.

In July 2010, the second ranking Silverback called ‘Mishaya’ broke away from the main Nshongi group, taking with him 8 other individuals.

There are now 3 gorilla groups open to tourist trekking in this area:

(1) Nkuringo
(2) Nshongi
(3) Mishaya
